Leana & Sebastian has quite a romantic love story: Leana traveled all the way from Shanghai to Los Angeles to Boston to England to meet the love of her life, Sebastian, who traveled from South Africa to England to meet the girl of his dreams. Serendipity! Oh yes!
Since this destination wedding celebrates their unique love story, the places they have lived in, their different cultures and the friends flying in from all around the globe, we created a wedding invitation which reflects just that. Although fun and slightly tongue-in-cheek, the elegant cream paper stock, fancy fonts and soft colours ensures that the invite remains sophisticated and romantic. We added little extras like the Chinese Lantern ‘stamps’ on the RSVP postcard as a reference to Leana’s heritage and airmail inspired envelope stickers. LOVE the endresult and hope you do too!
When Vanessa de Villiers called in our help with a baby shower she was organising, we literally jumped for joy, because Vanessa creates the most beautiful, creative and lovely kiddies parties… like… ever. Just see here!
We created a email invitation (which meant no rushing around to personally deliver the cards) and the “day of” stationery consisting of tags, labels and stickers were all printed at home by Vanessa herself. Saving big time on additional printing. She also took all the lovely photos and we couldn’t help but share. Well done on a lovely job (the details are just phenomenal)!
Contact Vanessa here, if you need her styling genius for a party, or would love to have her photograph your special day!

We created this pretty save the date for Christelle en Andre’s wedding announcement. We love proteas and Cape Fynbos too, so it was a joy working with these colours and shapes, not even to mention these lovely fonts!
You could have caught me air punching after Louw contacted me with her awesome wedding invite request. Recycled cardboard CD covers with tatoo style bird and banner. How cool!!??

We are proudly Saffa here at the Seven Swans studio, so you can imagine how delighted we were to see our work featured in an South African party theme inspiration board by the always-stylish Nicola from The Pretty Blog. Thanks for the love, girls!
Wouldn’t you just LOVE to see wedding stationery in these colours? Soothing greys, fresh green and a touch of blush. It reminds me little girls with ruddy cheeks running around in dreamy dresses, late afternoon G & Ts with big slices of lime, cucumber sandwiches… it’s just lovely!

When foodie, Nicola, from The Pretty Blog asked us to make some cheese flags for The Pretty Blog’s Do-Able DIY our eyes almost glazed over as we were imagining stacks of camembert and brie, huge helpings of blue cheese and yummy mature chedder all with cute cheese labels and pretty food decor.
We have posted an easy make-it-yourself idea where you just need ribbon and sosatie sticks, as well as FREE printable cheese labels made specially for our The Pretty Blog readers - so head on over!
The smell of Autumn is in the air… cool mornings, oak leaves starting to colour… and here at the Seven Swans studio we are going crazy for the new season’s details. Folky weddings tucked away in the woods, dusty colours, plywood and crates, airplants and banksias, oh and when we look at paper we want nothing but recycled cardboard!
