Remember we did this old school still life save the date for Emma & Donovan? Well, we knew the invitation was going to be something special…but didn’t quite know it would turn out this exciting!
Emma & Donovan are getting married at the historical Roodezand in Tulbagh and they wanted their invitation to be just that - filled with many layers, lots of detail (we did lots of hand stamping and even staining the tag edges ourselves) but most of all, communicate the charm of this amazing town and wedding venue.
We took LOTS of photos to try and capture the invitation in totality…but oh, I wish you could hold one in your own hands and leisurely unwrap all the pretty for yourself!

YAY for us, who get to work with AMAZING couples! ;) Not only is this couple super sweet, they are a mix of rad and lovely all rolled into a neat package! We adored working on their invitation (which was an e-invite) and are super excited for their wedding later this month at Cafe Felix in our favourite town with decor by the De Liefde team. We promise to share photos… this is going to be one awesome wedding!
We can feel it coming…spring! We’re sure we’ll still get some typical Cape Town downpours, but it’s in the air and we LOVE it! These soft clouds and pretty colours made us feel happy inside. Enjoy!

YAY for our work being in a British magazine! ;) It was big smiles when Gabi from SouthBound Bride let us know that our stationery set, Sparkle & Blush from the Invitation Gallery was to be featured in a pretty shoot that Gabi together with Louise from b.loved weddings styled. Lots of happy dances when this shoot was chosen to be featured in You and Your Wedding Magazine!
The stationery set can be ordered really quick and easy from here.
Our kraft and pattern invitations have been hugely popular, but we were super excited about sending this particular set all the way to Bermuda (…Bahama, come on pretty mama…. eeeh… I just can’t help myself! That song is in my head every time I think of Heather!).
Heather sent over this pretty pic, their photographer Zeudi Hinds, took of their invitation and we couldn’t help but share!
You might remember the pretty save the dates we did for lovely Kerryn and her Matt (see post here). Well, we got to have even more fun with their wedding invitations! I told you neutrals, stoney colours and light blushes are all the rage right now, but oh YAY when you get to do that in letterpress!
We love that the invitation has a kind of vintage packaging feel with bold fonts and old school elements. The invitation suite had a full colour map printed on gorgeous kraft, cute little luggage tag all bundled up with rough twine. Add kraft envelopes, personalised envelope labels and finish it off with a hand printed stamp! Pretty!

WOW, Ella had loads of fun with this one and we just adore the fantastic end result! How amazing (and detailed!) is this 2 colour letterpress invitation with all the accompanying bits?

When I stumbled upon these photos I just had to post them, even though the blogpost is waaaaay overdue. Bonnie looked just a.mazing and Antonie didn’t look half bad himself ;) Their beautiful wedding was at The Roundhouse in Camps Bay - just look at our little pieces peeking out!

We have been getting a huge number of requests for simple, down to earth wedding invitations, and we adore it! What is not to love about pretty typefaces, gorgeously textured paper, rough twine and the finishing touch, a pretty postage stamp lovingly stamped by hand?!
For Women’s Day last week, we made tea time just a bit cuter by creating some tea bag labels and envelopes for you to download and make at home. Brighten up someone’s morning with these treats, use at a bridal shower or even at the tea station on your wedding day!

It has been a while since we have done a colour lover post…not actually sure why, but I must say, we have been kept very busy with amazing colour palettes the last while. Hues of sunshine and skyblue; rich chocolatey browns paired with amazing aqua and mustard yellow (I know, right!); pink lemonade and coral; elegant peach and black; arms full of lovely playful pastels; and so many variaties of purple.
While I love love LOVE delightfully bold colour (I mean, my own wedding was red and aqua!), the ranges of nudes, blushes and other naturals we have been seeing give me a sense of calm which I am just adoring right now. The purity of stripped down colour and raw neutrals gives us opportunity to play with textures, recycled papers (we are still not over kraft!) and lovely things like stamps, twine and linen pockets. Oh, I am just in love with the trends right now!
