If you follow us at all on social media, you’ll know by now that we love cake. We love to celebrate, we’ll take any opportunity - and of course we have to do it in style!
We’ve had such fun working on a range of beautiful DIY cake toppers that you can mix & match for any occasion that warrants celebrating - be it a wedding or a Friday. Nelle Cakes made the perfect super delicious cake & Nicola from The Pretty Blog styled it all beautifully! Then Lindy Truter took some lovely photos to show it all off & inspire you all to get baking and prettyfying at home.

Devour the rest of this shoot on The Pretty Blog & get your sticky fingers on all these pretty printables to create your very own cake day. (Maybe bookmark it as something to make for Mothers Day?)

Over at The Pretty Blog, we are doing 6 weeks of Christmas printables, craft and DIYs to get you in the spirit. Check in every Thursday to get the whole set of Christmas goodies, from decorations, tags and giftwrap to crackers and other lovelies.
We created beautiful holiday gifts tags which you can download here and print on any paper you like. We just love the black ink on kraft, don’t you?

We had so much fun with Annari from Nelle Cakes creating this simple DIY inspired by Donna Hay. Easily make a ice cream cone stand with a egg box and then pretty up the yummies with our free printables! What better way to celebrate the sunshine!
Download the printables on The Pretty Blog and listen the our summer mix tape made for Heritage Day, celebrating South African music!
Thank you Yolande Marx for the lovely pictures!
For Women’s Day last week, we made tea time just a bit cuter by creating some tea bag labels and envelopes for you to download and make at home. Brighten up someone’s morning with these treats, use at a bridal shower or even at the tea station on your wedding day!

I have something just a bit different to show you today (and I am so excited to do so! EEK!)
You see, we have this dear friend of ours, Gaby. Now Gaby runs this beautiful wedding blog (it used to be called Cap Classique, but more about this in a minute!) and we have been admirers of her well, right from the very very start. But that is not why this is wow, because this has nothing to do with the fact that we like to believe we have a good eye for something great ;) …. no, this is a huge big shout out to a very special person. Gaby is a selfless blogger who’s passion for sharing beauty, showcasing talent and creating platforms for wedding vendors to share their work is just incredible. The amount of energy and time she is willing to spend on this passion, is a true inspiration and we are thrilled to let you know that it has paid off.
Gaby has grown right out of her Cap Classique shoes and is now the proud owner of a beautiful new website, called SouthBound Bride. We were absolutely elated when Gaby asked us to work with her on the identity and even more so as she shared her vision of creating an identity that is truly South African, beautiful, feminine, world class. We adored working with Gaby on this and wish her only the very best for the future.
Go on, go read it, bookmark it… I know you will fall in love!
Oh oops, time seems to be flying and almost a week has gone by since we did this lovely little DIY for our Pretty Blog readers! We created labels, tags and wrapping paper to pretty up last minute gifts, which you can easily download and print at home or at your local printer.
Go have a look!

We share yet another easy-to-do printable for our brides to be at The Pretty Blog. Every wedding needs table numbers and these stylish black and white numbers fit almost any theme.
Get the download in either Afrikaans or English, numbers 1-20 right here!
We made colourful note cards for this week’s Do-Able DIY on The Pretty Blog, and while having so much fun with them we decided to just jump right in and create matching gift labels too! You can use them for just about anything - sneak them into your little one’s lunch box or hide a special note under your loved one’s pillow, punch a whole through it and with a piece of ribbon tie it to a bunch of flowers or gift to say thank you, happy birthday or I love you.
So easy, and you can print it right at home! Download the freebies here!
Today, we share an easy gift idea on for The Pretty Blog’s DIY Thursday - custom message chocolate wrappers!
Often, one just want a very quick and small pressie to say thank you or let that special person know you are thinking of them, BUT mostly food packaging is a little bit naff and you spend more time wrapping and covering than you actually had. Well, DIY Thursday to the rescue! Just download the template here and print! Now you have your own super cute and very special wrapper to cover up that yummy Lindt Bar!
We had a fabulous time with Annari from Nelle Cakes to create this Easter DIY for our lovely The Pretty Blog readers. Annari baked perfectly fluffy and spicy carrot cake cupcakes with the most delicious frosting to make up this cute-as-a-button dessert in a jar. Perfect for two lovebirds to share on a Easter sunset picnic, or use one cupcake in a smaller jar for single servings or even as a wedding favour.
We decorated the jar with a paper bunny cuff and message discs on the lid. View the full post and get the recipe and templates here.

At Seven Swans we are always on the lookout for new kitchen tea and bachelorette ideas, but when a traditional activity remains a firm favourite, we prefer to spice things up rather than just change the tradition all together. SO for The Pretty Blog’s Thursday DIY, we created these pretty recipe cards. Now you can just add your own recipe and take along as part of the bridal shower gift. Or spoil your own love nest with a pretty selection of favourite recipes!
