Before you head on over to our contact page, have a look through these frequently asked questions:
Brides outside of Cape Town
We love working with brides all across our beautiful country and even abroad. With email, telephone or Skype sessions, communication is quick and easy. We can send a sample pack at a fee of R 250 for potential clients who wish to see the quality of our invitations (although I wouldn’t say it is necessary at all, we like to put our clients’ mind’s at ease).
Shipping
Once the invitations are done, we use our reliable courier company’s overnight service and the pretties will reach South Africans within a day or two (the cost depends on weight but usually it is about R100). For international clients we use our post office’s courier service. It is the most cost effective by FAR (usually about U$60), has been totally reliable and gets your goodies to you within 6 working days. To get it within 2-3 days we use DHL which is a more expensive option but sometimes those few days really count!
Appointments
We do not charge a consultation fee! YAY!
Timelines
We need about 4-6 weeks from start to finish on a wedding invitation. Sometimes it takes a bit longer if there is quite a bit of back and forth on the design or if we are doing intricate designs with many components or an invitation with complex finishing. It is tricky for us to get it done much quicker as we are a small team trying our bestest best to produce outstanding work.
How can I cut into the timeline?
The best way to get invitations out real quick is to do electronic invitations. It saves us time on getting quotes so we can get started way quicker and once the design is finalised it is ready to send out straight away.
What process do we follow?
We can get started once we have received proof of a 50% deposit on the design fee. For our international clients, we ask a 50% deposit on the cost estimate’s total, just because it takes quite some time for PayPal payment to get into our bank accounts.
What then?
Well, then we start designing and should have the first draft ready in about 5 working days (sometimes a bit longer if there is a bit of a que, but sometimes, if you are lucky a bit quicker!!). We send it over via email so that you and your fiancee can discuss, look and relook before sending feedback. We include 3 sets of changes within the original quote.
How do you personalise the invitations to specific guests?
Mostly, the invitation itself does not have the guest’s name on it (although there are a few options to get this done, so contact us!) but rather the envelopes are personalised. We do not offer the service of printing straight onto the envelope but design beautiful labels that match your invitation and is stuck onto the envelope. We can personalise these with the guest’s name and address. Alternatively we can get a calligrapher to hand address the envelopes.
What about other little things for the wedding day?
We do not only make save the dates and invitations, we can do all the other bits like menus, seating charts and even cookie bar decorations, signage and any other designed goodies you can think of.
What kind of printing do we offer?
Flat digital or laser printing allows for beautiful full colour designs at a cost effective rate. For some luxury or glam, we also offer letterpress printing (which includes debossing, embossing and foiling) and our popular white ink on rustic kraft papers are hand silk screened. We also do stamps, die cutting, laser cutting, hand stitching (for booklets or fabric pockets) and all kinds of exciting things!
